In 2004 I started work in Neuro-rehabilitation in a specialised unit at Boffa Hospital and in 2010 moved to the in- patients rehabilitation facilities at Karin Grech.
For the past 3 years I am working in Neuro out-patients. I have received training at Oxford Enablement Centre on posture, seating and wheelchair management, and I attend wheelchair clinics at the independent living centre regularly.
I am currently doing my thesis as part of a Masters degree in Advancing Physiotherapy in Neurology at Sheffield Hallam University in United Kingdom. I am expected to finish in September 2015.
I attend regularly to neuro conferences and symposia to keep myself updated with the latest medical updates and new technologies in the field.
I have been part of the live life team for the past 3 years and I treat mainly people with neurological defecit such as parkinsons, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injuries, head injuries, and other related conditions. I do wheelchair assessments and also prescribe orthotics when necessary (in liason with orthotist).
