The Planet Physio team understands and knows the importance of supporting the individual holistically. We also offer psychotherapy sessions and psychoeducational workshops to individuals and groups who may wish to consider this form of support.
What is Psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy is a process of exploration of the here and now and our choice of contact with the world around us. With the therapist, the individual starts a journey of refection, with the aim of exploring and understanding how they relate to themselves, their relationships and to the life circumstances they encounter. This understanding and awareness will enable the individual to consider whether the present manner in which they live is effective and fulfilling, or whether they may wish adopt more creative ways of living.
As a therapist I believe in need to take the time to slow down and reflect. I believe in the power of exploration and change and the possibility of living more meaningful lives. Unfortunately we are often pulled away by the daily currents, leaving us drained and immune to our own needs and those of our loved ones. The meaning of our life becomes obscure. Therapy enables us to find that space once more, to let go of the currents and find our own way of embracing and choosing our life journey with the hope of experiencing more meaning and inner peace.
Workshops are a creation of psychoeducational talks focused on psychological themes. The aim is to create awareness, learn, discuss, change and adopt attitudes towards relationships and daily circumstances so as to provide ourselves with a more creative and supportive way of living.
Offered in small groups of 8 to 10 people. The themes covered are varied:
- Boundaries: how do I create my own boundaries and what is effective or ineffective?
- Understanding and working through anxiety
- Stress: what is it and how do I support myself?
- Understanding my emotions and allowing them to guide me
- Anger: the power of anger, a guiding force.
- The importance of communication and relating
- Difficulty in life is a given, it is my attitude that makes the difference
The workshop may be created and tailored to the needs of a group.
My approach towards my clients is a holistic one and my workshops will also provide the space and time to incorporate different forms of physical activity such as Yoga, Pilates and physical exercise. Exposure to both the mental and physical experience during the workshops, will enable the participant to feel an increased sense of fulfilment.

My life journey on a professional level has been varied; from secretarial, catering, to sales and marketing, now focusing on psychotherapy and management. I met Milos, who is the founder of Planet Physio in the summer of 2014. At the time I was seeking to create another stepping stone in the management field, also hoping to incorporate my profession. He shared with me the concept and vision of Planet Physio, apart from believing in the concept, I was intrigued by the fact that his priority was his team; he offered support, sensitivity and believed in them. He contributed towards a team of professionals who were enthusiastic and willing to be there, offering their best to the clients who sought their support.
At the age of 28, I started to study psychology at the Kensington and Chelsea College in London. I then continued to read for an Honours Degree in Psychology at the University of Malta, after which I specialised in a form of psychotherapy known as Gestalt, at the Gestalt Institute in Malta. I have been practicing psychotherapy for the past 5 years and this field has enabled me to contribute effectively towards my life and the life of others. My experience has been varied; daily I have worked with various clients on a one to one basis and with couples. I have had the opportunity to create and present various talks and workshops to a number of groups. The media has been another platform that has enabled me to reach the public and offer the various tools my profession provides me with.
I feel very grateful that I was able to embark on this professional path. I have become more aware of my own experience, I have learnt, changed and found more meaning in my life. Psychology is not only a profession but a way of life. I thank all the clients I meet on the way, being with them enables me to understand and respect the sensitivity of our life, our strengths, resources and the importance of meaning and seeking support.
I am also a mother, I treasure my time with my daughter, family and close friends. I seek time alone to reflect and create new projects. I enjoy photography, read regularly and attend various conferences and seminars to keep myself updated both professionally and personally. I also enjoy running to keep physically fit and psychologically stronger.
I believe that life is a very beautiful experience despite its difficult moments. Learning how to embrace, move with and grow through those moments is what makes the difference.
